Fab proving he’s got plenty left

|

Lukasz Fabianski has been keeping out Alphonse Areola in incredible circumstances.

The Frenchman looked nailed on to replace the Poland international after signing from PSG in the summer.

He produced an incredible save to deny Anderlecht in the Europa Conference League, but Fabianski responded with an equally impressive performance against Southampton.

The Saints started the game remarkably well and were able to create at least two clear-cut chances.

Fabianski, though, was equal to everything, barring a wickedly deflected long-range strike from Romain Perraud. That has all but confirmed that he is going to play this evening against Liverpool, and he will have plenty to do.

Jurgen Klopp’s side thumped Rangers 7-1 last week and also managed to beat Manchester City 1-0 at Anfield on Sunday.

It is almost inevitable that the likes of Mo Salah, Darwin Nunez and Roberto Firmino are going to be peppering the Hammers goal this evening, and Fab will have to continue his superb form if we are to have any chance of taking three points.
