Hammers fans likely to face another struggle

|

By Hughie Southon

West Ham fans may have been given a thoughtless kick in the teeth by the Premier League and BT Sport ahead of the Manchester United game in May.

The game will clearly be a key clash for the Hammers as they could still be caught in a desperate struggle against relegation given it is the fifth match away from the season’s end.

They need a full London Stadium house acting as the 12th man for such a game but sadly this is a perfect weekend for the rail unions to stage a strike with the crowning taking place the following day and the weekend bringing people into the capital.

If ever proof was needed that it’s TV first fans second – which of course it isn’t – this could be yet another graphic example of how things are in football right now.
