Rodney Marsh: ‘Low expectations of Payet’

|

MArshRodney Marsh has been asked about his thoughts on West Ham new boy Dimitri Payet and said he has low expectations of the 28 year old.

Using his twitter account from Tampa Florida, Marsh replied “Decent wide player, low expectations of him…”

He also thinks West Ham would be a bad move for Charlie Austin saying “Wow! Charlie Austin to Bournemouth ?!! And I thought West Ham was a bad move for him……”

He later explained “I’m not underestimating Bournemouth or West Ham. Just thought a 20 goal a year man could get a bigger club. You fans are so myopic !!”

with all his talent, he has to go down as one of the underperformers of all time; so he is an expert in the subject… lol

Hmm I’m sure he’s an expert on Ligue 1 so we must believe everything he says being as he is in the heartland of football Tampa. At least he’s saying it for free on twitter and not selling his sh!te like the other rentagobs

    • ExPat_Hammer says:

      …word of the day “rentagobs”.

      Thanks for the chuckle.

And, no, expectations should be set high based upon the fanfare and pay packet.

Who gives a flying #### what Rodney Marsh thinks.?? Go back under your rock…
if Austin goes to any of the ‘big’ clubs it will be Lpool, he wouldn’t get enough game time anywhere else. No way is his worth £15m. If he wasn’t english then you could take the 5 of the end of the fee.

To be fair to Charlie Austin aswell he has said QPR are pricing him out of a move so he at least is realistic about his price tag. Before the window closes he will be sold to someone, he is a very good forward, we could sell Carroll and buy Austin the saving in wages would probably make the fee justifiable. Other than that Valencia and Sakho with Payet behind should be good enough.

Ah Rodders I’d forgot all about you and your wonderous views of nothing in particular. I remember the good old days when your wit and banter was as useful as a cross field ball from pogatetz. Ain’t it amazing that the hairy handed tosser keys turned up to back the hippo, now Rodders has sprung up with his pearls of wisdom who next Andy Gray and his opinions on state aid…. The Old Sky Sports Saturday Team are reforming God help us

  • Radai Lama says:

I used to like him on Soccer Saturday. He used to amuse my goldfish like brain.Im easily pleased & definately preferred him to that big nose scarecrow Le Tissier who jumps up everytime The Saints score.Oh & jumped up & down everytime a team a scored against us when we were at the top of The Championship.

    • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

He was entertaining on Soccer Saturday a lot more so than the other 50 year old that jump up and scream like schoolkids that need the toilet everytime there is the tiniest bit of action in a game they are watching.

  • Simply The Best says:

Rodders is alrite, just got opnions on everything. No different to most of use on here, lol

  • mattefumi happy hippie says:

    ahaha… he’s a wise man… no Payet, no Austin… I bet he’s a big Nolan fan and a nostalgic Sam lover… yep, those were the good days…

  • bubs says:

What’s he call a big club OPR or Fulham ?
Only claim to fame he played with G Best and B Moore,
He was a typical I good performance in 5 player, score a wonder goal every season and use his mouth for the rest,
What does he know about the modern game ?
Bet he has never seen Payet play once,
Never liked the man another J Barnes one game one goal wonder
