David Sullivan is ready to step up his bid for Alexandre Lacazette.

The Hammers chairman saw a new £32 million bid rejected by Lyon yesterday but is encouraged by the falling of away of interest by both Paris St Germain and Spurs.

Lyon are claiming that they want £40 milion for the 25 year old but with the Irons seemingly the only club in the frame at the moment that has zero chance of happening at this stage.

We were told this morning that a fresh bid is likely and that the striker remains the prime target as the Hammers look to get their transfer business done as quickly as possible.

Sullivan is a relentless negotiator and will go on until the bitter end in his pursuit of the player with a source saying this morning: “It’s not over at this stage – there is likely to be another offer. As we have seen many times, David is not a man to throw his hands in the air and say: ‘That’s it.’

Lacazette showed his prowess for Lyon last season, scoring 21 goals in 34 Ligue 1 games, although he was only placed on stand-by for France’s Euro 2016 squad.

Great news, he is the player that we all want. I believe Sakho will stay because there is no point in buying this player unless he is going to play with someone up front with real pace and quality. And that is not Carroll, why does BFS not put an offer in for Carroll !

Sell valencia & add that money to the transfer pot & get Tore.

    • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

If we are going to sell Valencia it should be for big money like £25m he is playing out of his skin, scoring and creating loads for Ecuador, I hope we don’t sell him personally because I think he is being played out of position by Slav, in my unimportant opinion anyway still always turns in 8 out of 10 rated performances every match I think he would be a big loss to us.

He may be the player we would like to see,but I have not seen 1 comment that he has any desire to come.So is he worth buying if he don’t really want to be here?

    • WattZy91 says:

Noaksey, before we signed Payet he kept saying how much he wanted to stay at Marseille, never once came out to say how much he wanted to come to West Ham. Would you say he wasn’t worth it as well?

  • awd1998 says:

Feghouli has signed for West Ham according to jack sullivan’s twitter

  • Gobby says:

Yes awd it is on quite a few media sites now.He will be a great free signing I think.

  • slaven a laugh says:

why not offer them money plus player deal. Offer them sakho. Ok so sakho is no lacazette but he would make a decent back up striker for them.

  • Ironworker says:

Good Idea Slavien – I would hate it if Sakho goes to another Prem club !

  • mooro66uk says:

He only wants to leave us because he don’t wanna be a back up striker. What would be the point of going elsewhere just to be the same?
