Oxford-604905West Ham will hold talks over a new deal with defenderReece Oxford when he returns from England Under-19 duty.

The Mirror claims the Irons are keen to tie 17-year-old, who has two years left to run on his contract, down on a long-term deal.

Manchester United scouts are understood to have watched him as he played 90 minutes in the 2-1 win over the Netherlands on Friday evening and they were believed to have been joined by spies from Manchester City and Spurs.

A Hammers insider told ClaretandHugh: “There’s no anxieties – he is tied down to a two year deal and we will look at this in due course.”

  • TRB says:

Put him in the team as often as possible and watch him grow. Same applies to Burke and Samuelson. Sign them all to decent contracts.

  • Roman says:

Absolutely TRB. They are the club’s future and not some expensive mercenary with no love for the claret & blue.
