starting line upKick off 5pm – Follow the action here:

As we reported earlier Andy Carroll will sit this one out and is busy having photos taken with fans.

2/ Two early corners for the Russians come to nothing.

4/ Rubin look up for this and are into things quickly forcing the Irons to up tempo from yesterday

9/Feghouli free kick from left finds Burke but he lifts it overthe top

TorryGokhan Toure takes a little knock

Rubin – with an earlier start to their eason than the Hammers are further into prepartions and look sharper than the Irons who are slowly warming to things.

20/ Apart from an Enner Valencia half chance which went astray in 12th minute, no action at either end

23/ GOAL:  Rubin Kazan open the scoring.  Akhmetov wide, cuts back well for Devic to score.

25/ Typical long run from Antonio takes him past two or three Kazan players but dispossesed.

28/ Nasty tackle on Cresswell but he’s ok

32: Quina shot on tsrget collected easily by keeper after Antonio and Feghouli link well and pick him out

35: Antonio becoming more and more prominent and influential -several good runs and one particulrly dangerous cross

45: ITS ANOTHER GOAL for Russians: Lestienne pounces on to a loose ball from Declan Rice and slams past Adrian

Half time: Rubin Kazan 2 Hammers 0

We’re off for the second half – little action in first five minutes.

50/ Clash between Nortveidt and Devic – looks a bit malicious but the midfielder is now on his feet and seemingly okay

54/ Adrian spreads himself to save shot from distance

55/ Feghouli corner straight into keeper’s arms

58/ Akhemetov tries his luck with hopeful 30 yard effort but way over bar

ady

61/ RUBIN GO 3-0 UP: Kazin move forward again and shot rebounds off upright but seconds later ageing and portly Karadeniz forces his way through middle to score neatly past Adrian

10 minutes to go and the Hammers just going through the paces. They still look pretty leggy and off the pace to be perfectly honest

83/ Ball falls to Obiang 20 out but his first time shot narrowly over top.

That’s a relief FINAL WHISTLE.

FINAL VERDICT: Can’t be bothered to write much about that – just awful. We seem so far off the pace for the fourth pre season game. A good work out? Well that’s what the cliche will tell you. I spose so but dreadful to watch.

What worries me is where the hell is Sam Byrum? Anyone know if he is injured or has he fallen foul of Slav? Apparently he is not even on the bench.

  • Mark says:

I know it’s only a pre season friendly but we look like a bad Sunday pub team

  • Ray says:

Mickey Mouse game.I prefer when we don’t set the world on fire in pre-season,when we do it normally goes to rat sh#t that season.

    • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

I agree Ray often a bad pre-season leads to a good season, these games are a safe environment to make mistakes in, the young players will learn a lot and improve and the experienced ones will know what they need to sharpen up and by how much.

  • Mark says:

I hope your right I wasn’t looking for miracles but so far were crap not even a glimmer of how we played last season o should not watch pre season games me thinks lol

  • salesb says:

Ok i know this is pre season but this is getting embarrassing. Season starts in a couple weeks and we can’t beat a single team no one’s ever heard of. I get that this is arguably the hardest of our pre season games but the fact we haven’t got a single win and are 2-0 down at half time does not instill me with confidence

  • Mark says:

No I’m not reassured either with the first euro game fast approaching

  • Stan The Man says:

I never watch preseason,it is no indicator for the season ahead. Most the time they just make you needlessly concerned.Mix & match teams, changes at half team with nowhere near what will be the starting XI come the first premier match of the season.Relax gentlemen.

  • Antman says:

Well if nothing else it is giving the Wet Pants moaners a pre season match thread run out ha ha

  • Stan The Man says:

Nah they will be too busy celebrating Big Fat Sam their idol becoming England gaffer 🙂

  • johnboy says:

The team put out by Slav next week will be interesting ,
Not much to choose from is there ! At the moment it doesn’t look encouraging fitness wise , form wise and availability . It looks like were 4 weeks off programme .
Easy to be critical but it will come right soon .
We still need to strengthen defencively though, it needs addressing sharpish , kids ain’t ready yet .

Shi#e in NZlast pre season.everybody bemoaning our fate. What happened lo and behold we done brilliant. Ireally don’t believe some of our so called fans. They can’t wait for a wrong statement, aslight mistake, or a chance to shoot our chairmen down. Think lads where were we before they came in and saved us from o bscurity. i’m sure they will eventually read all these non stop slaggings and negativity and say :”why the fu#k do we even bother? Some are such ungrateful bast##ds. Keep the faith fellers. COYI X
