Avoid the London Stadium queues this Saturday

|

Bridge1Big queues built-up on the bridges on Saturday due to overcrowding on bridge 5 and later on bridge 1.

Security checks are now carried out on the bridges but ticket holders are encouraged to use the bridge closest to their turnstile.  Bridge 5 became the busiest bridge on Saturday with queues reaching 20 minutes. Bridge 1 in front of the large screens peaked with queues of 10 minutes before kickoff but bridges 1 and 2 were largely empty and had no queues for security checks.

Stadium Operators and the club say that bridges 1 and 2 will always less busy as supporters are naturally drawn the bridges 5 and 1 due to walking routes from the stations.  Bridge 4 is reserved for disabled supporters and away fans.

Supporters should also remember that season tickets and tickets are paired with one turnstile only this season. Many supporters try to enter the stadium through the wrong turnstile each game only to find they are rejected. Stewards often refer them to the ticket office when in fact they could gain entry normally by using the right turnstile.  Many queued at the West Ham ticket office for up to 30 minutes on Saturday only to find they used the wrong turnstile.

I’ll avoid the queues on Saturday by not going. I haven’t used my season ticket this season and I’m not sure when I will. I’ve been going home and away for years but I am very close to saying that I’ve done my time and I deserve a break from the constant underwhelming performances that we know as the West Ham way. Bilic out!

I agree mate, they may have fooled us with all their promises into renewing our ST but a half empty stadium would send out a clear message to the board. BILIC OUT, we want entertaining football not square ball crap that always ends up with our GK hoofing it up field straight back to our opponents

Bye then. You wont be missed.

      • Poplar Hammer says:

How many times did Hart hoof it on Saturday? I counted once and that was in injury time

And you want to protest against the Board by getting Bilic Out?

Some people really have s**t for brains

I arrived at Bridge 1 at 11.45 and queued for no more than 5 minutes for the security checks that are so necessay for our safety. I have found the bridge searches a great improvement on last season. Moany minnies once again making their voices heard!

  • master says:

Agreed, much better than it was.
Took me 5 mins to get through.

Acid attack later the same day proves the measures are unfortunately necessary right now.

Worth mentioning to female supporters, one of the security staff confiscated a bottle of perfume from a female friend’s bag, saying ‘bottles aren’t allowed’….the cynic in me says he kept it, as I was told by her when we met up just before the game it was a new bottle of Givenchy she’d just started, and she was a sole female on her own (easy pickings).
She’s mailed the club, I’ve tweeted David Gold, not that anyone gives a **** like most things “West Ham” these days…..
If it does happen to others I’d recommend videoing the whole thing, if they are in the right and bottles of perfume ARE banned, then they’ve no fear of comeback have they?
