Sakho’s no Chinese takeaway

|

Diafra-Sakho-315346West Ham have received no inquiries or offers for Diafra Sakho despite speculation that he is on his way from the club this January.

A report in The Express that Chinese Super League outfit Shanghai Shenhua were believed to have come in for the 28-year-old has been denied by club insiders.

The striker has become a fringe figure at the London Stadium along with both Chicharito and Andy Carroll and the common wisdom was that he would be on his way next month.

Both Rennes and Cardiff City have been credited with an interest in the Senegal international who  is out of contract in the summer.

David Moyes has not named him in a starting line up since his arrival but has used him as a sub on six occasions in the Premir League an once in the EFL Cup clash against Arsenal.

Sakho is desperate to kick start his career but this far appears not to have seen enough action to impress clubs and is now expected to see see out his contract.

A source said: “The  Chinese talk is simply talk – there have been no inquiries and at this stage it looks more likely he will be at West ham for the rest of the season.”

Just why , exactly should Andy Carroll be on the fringe .?. I find that absolutely amazing .
He has made the difference every time he has come on . Totally underrated and misunderstood . Name me a player that gives you the same options as AC !! . He came on against Bournemouth and immediately caused problems ,,, he was involved in anything good we had to offer . Players around him were at fault for not converting .

Well Kev . I remember just two chances after he came on and we scored both, and one had nothing to do with A.C.
Rose tinted glasses come to mind!!!
