Allardyce: “There’s now real pressure for the shirts”

|

Sam-AllardyceSam Allardyce has made it absolutely clear that he now has strength throughout the squad!

Speaking on Sky ahead of the big game tonight he says the pressure is on every player who is selected in the starting X1 to hold on to the shirt.

He explained that he had players he could now bring in to change the game if players aren’t performing.

He said: “We have a stronger and deeper squad and there is pressure on – it’s up to those who start games to hold on to it because there are players pushing them.”

In fairness to the man he has now made sure he is under pressure with that series of admissions as regularl defeats are unacceptable under those terms.

He  has selected perhaps his most attacking team ever for tonight’s game at Hull City.

It is: Adrian, Demel, Tomkins, Reid, Cresswell, Kouyate, Noble (c), Downing, Zarate, Valencia, Sakho

Looking at the lineup i think it’s a shame Morrison isn’t included, especially after that link up with Song in the U21s last week. With Nolan out of the picture, we have a tough looking midfield!
