Amazing performance shows what’s in store for Hammers

|

Palace keeper Vicente Guaite produced an extraordinary performance against Spurs

West Ham watched a remarkable Crystal Palace goalkeeping display give the south London club a chance of drawing level with us on Wednesday evening at the London Stadium.

Jeffrey Schlupp scored a late Crystal Palace equaliser against Spurs after a Hugo Lloris boob to move onto 17 points and occupy 11th place in the league.

Harry Kane put Spurs on course for a sixth win in seven league games with a shot from 30 yards which Vicente Guaita should have saved.

But after that Spaniard Guaita made a series of utterly extraordinary saves to show the Irons exactly what they are facing on Wednesday.

Former Hammers early summer target Eberechi Eze had hit a post and will add another interesting subplot as we take a look at what we may have missed out on at around £18 million.

The Hammers can move on to 23 points with a win assuming results go our way in matches involving Leicester, Chelsea and Southampton.

Lampard’s team meet Wolves at Molineux, while Saints travel to Arsenal and Everton visit the Foxes.
