West Ham Vice Chairman, Karren Brady has told former Hammer Trevor Sinclair it is West Ham’s ambition to win the league after moving to the London Stadium.
She was asked on Football Focus which is broadcast at 12.10pm today she was asked if we want to emulate Manchester City who won the league within ten years of moving to the former Commonwealth games Stadium.
She said: “It’s our ambition to win the league, that’s what we are here for. Everything we achieve is done by those players on the pitch.
“It’s so important to attract the best talent, to retain the best talent and to build the best talent because you can have the best stadium in the world but if you don’t have the best team you haven’t done your job properly”
Then go and buy Bony and a right side defender,
Stop trying to do it on a budget that will just keep us out of the relegation group,
Walk the walk and Talk the Talk now back it with real readies,
If you spend it now you won’t need to do it in December or next year,
I find the statement rom Karen Brady does not reflect reality. We have showed no ambition in the transfer market. Liverpool bought Sane, Everton bought Bolasie, City bought Stones, United bought Pogba, we bought Ayew. There is our ambition. We needed a top defender and a top striker to compete. Stop raising the fans expectations with silly comments like this. Actions speak louder than words.
Well spend some proper money then ffs! I couldn’t be more underwhelmed with what you’ve bought so far. Your differing has cost us dear. More poxy bargain basement fayre.
So buy some big time players instead of loaning small time players . Strewth .
Was the headline the winning entry for the caption competition?
Ffs hide the knifes quickly.
Of course we want to win the PL whats wrong in saying that?? What would you lot be saying if she said ” well if we try really hard we aim to finish in the top 10 each year, we will never be good enough to win the league so why bother spending alot of money”? So much negativity so early into the season.
