Brighton man linked to Irons

Brighton and Hove Albion attacker Leo Trossard will consider his options this summer

Brighton and Hove Albion playmaker Leandro Trossard has indicated that he will be ready to listed to offer this summer with his contract running out next term.

The left winger is being linked with West Ham by the local media at ‘I will listen to offers’ – Brighton’s £15m star and West Ham target makes worrying transfer claim as contract ticks down | SussexWorld (sussexexpress.co.uk).

However, ClaretandHugh has been unable to receive any conformation from the London Stadium that this is the case although the club are in the market for a left sided attacking option since Mikey Antonio moved into the central role. Trpssard can also play as a second striker or attacking midfielder

He has been a regular fixture in Graham Potter‘s Premier League for the last two-and-a-half seasons following a £15m arrival from Genk in June 2019 but like several others in the tam has slumped as the Seagulls have suffered six straight defeats.

They now sit in 13th place on 33 points and it seems that the clever winger may  be ready to move on although he is far from being hard and fast about it.

Speaking to Le Soir, he said “I’ve become physically stronger in the Premier League; I’ve put on a lot of muscle mass. Every season I’ve also gained experience.”

When asked about what his future holds, the 14 cap international added: “I don’t really think about it. I am 27 years old, and I let everything happen. I’ll listen to the offers, but I don’t necessarily want to leave. Brighton is also a very good club.”

He is currently away on international duty and is preparing for Belgium’s upcoming friendlies against Ireland and Burkina Faso.

    Hi Hugh!

Not sure I understand all of this? Antonio wad never a left sided player; and we bought in both Vlasic and Benrahma – how are both left wingers / inside forwards?

Well worth £15m wouldn’t be too upset if this happened.
