Andy Carroll and Aaron Cresswell will join the Irons squad on their warm weather training stint in Dubai despite carrying minor injury issues.
Carroll missed the match against West Brom with the well publicised groin niggle whilst Cresswell left the action at half time with a dead leg.
With all the medical staff travelling to Dubai both player will take whatever treatment they may need for the injuries whilst they are at their training centre.
A restricted party will make the trip with no media staff or others involved in the midwinter trip to the sun which the manager hopes will set the players up for a fine climax to the season.
We were told this evening (Sun): “The decision not to play Andy was purely precautionary and the same was truwe when withdrawing Aaron.but there is no reason why they can’t fly and both should be fine for the game against Watford.
‘Should both be fine for Watford’. Those words send a chill through my heart….Ah well, maybe..
All things being equal you’ve got to say we are going to have a very strong starting XI and bench for Watford.
Blimey! Just looked on physio room.com. We were top of the League with 10 injuries yesterday. Now only FOUR. The medical department must have been working overtime. Don’t even list Carroll &Cresswell. Just hope none of them get sunstroke in Dubai..

I hate having two weeks without a match but it hasnt come at a bad time all things considered.The players can rest any knocks and then put in a final charge in the last few months.
