Carroll gets ‘soft’ fine for red card

|

Andy Carroll will be fined around £45,000 for his red card against Burnley at the weekend.

Reports that the striker will be hit with a two week wage fine are incorrect and the Geordie’s indiscretion instead will be hit with a fine which represents a pretty lenient punishment given the severity of the crime.

There is real fury inside the London Stadium at the way Carroll decided to launch a second offence so soon after the first which had even team mate Pablo Zabaleta condemning him as ‘nasty.’

But there is a standard punishment for yellow and red cards and Carroll escaped the full ONE week wage fine which he would have received for a straight sending off.

We have learned that the standard fines written into contract amount to a week’s wages for a straight sending off and half a week for two yellows.

Don’t play him for a month and he gets no appearance money or bonuses then ? Simple !!!😎

Agree and then we maybe see less errors from big man dropping back. Any other team he would have been pulled after the start he has had.

It is pretty soft, he has cost us two points with his stupidity, if it is contractual for all players then I understand but having said that why should it be a contractual amount, or they should at least put in the contracts that dependant on the nature of the sending off it can be raised to a maximum of two weeks wages.

If we get relegated for having been short of 2 points , is it in his contract that he pays us the amount of money we miss out on plus the exodus of players and putting the club in shyte lol
Its a nonsense fine !! Send him to the stiffs to learn off Martinez ? or better still watch sakho perform 😉
