Carroll injury check

|

Andy CarrollAndy Carroll headed stright for Spire Roding hospital on Thursday morning after feeling some discomfort in his groin following the first close season run outs in America.

ClaretandHugh has learned that the big striker is still conceerned about the issue and was checked out immediately on his return from the match against Carolina Railhawks.

With Diafra Sakho refusing to go on the close season tour to Austria as he tries to force through a transfer and Enner Valencia a possible target for either Lazio or Swansea, a possible Carroll problem will become a real worry to manager Slaven Bilic.

We were told: “It seems Andy Β is still worried by some discomfort in that area and my understanding is that he had a preautionary scan when he was at Spire Roding on Thursday. We’ll see here it goes from here as we prepare for the next close season tour. Hopefully it will all be fine.”

I was at the game and I asked the guy sitting next to me if I was wrong to worry that Carroll might get injured by the lightning. Apparently I was not.

Sad to say, but I’m afraid that we can not rely on Andy to solve our striking problems.
Sakho & Valencia will soon be gone (a real shame?!), leaving us in a very precarious situation. We still have 6 weeks left in the summer transfer window; we must sign 2 ‘marquue leve’l strikers and another 2-3 high quality strikers in addition. When it comes down to it, we should be aiming to score around 70 goals from our 38 EPL games, if we want CL play. At the moment we’s struggle to score 40 goals; however, if Payet stays, plenty of good strikers will want to come to West Ham, so we must remain optimistic!

Good luck Andy, see you at the end of October then? It’s hard not to get cynical. with this player……

As others have said Here We Go Again, we can’t reply on Carroll any longer, he is just a luxury, costing us a big wage.

Should have kept Sak happy, offered AC to Hippo at a price he could not have said no to,
    Brought Bony to replace him,
Even if AC is fine now what odds will you get that he only plays half a dozen games before Xmas and another half a dozen after,
When will the 2 Daves admit they got it wrong and put it right,

I keep saying it…. Berardi…. lets go get him (e25m I believe). Or instead of Β£67m on Rodriguez just spend it on Higuain or even better offer Β£40m for Lacazette and spend the rest on a truly world class RB.

    lol as Roman says… here we go again… there’s a last resort… a trip to Lourdes… πŸ˜€

    • johnboy says:

Haha , made me chuckle matte ,
Maybe a vet , just put him out of our misery ? Lol.

    • Roman says:

I think AC is a tragic case Matte.I doubt if divine intervention will help either.Instead of landing a world class goal machine the forward line is disintegrating. as we speak. Sakho & Valencia are leaving.I don’t know how the owners will keep it all together before the window closes.

    • Roman says:

Matte what do you know about Berardi? Do you rate him?

      • mattefumi27 says:

Hi Roman, yes I rate Berardi, he is considered one of the best young striker here in Italy… I’m sure Slav will be affected by my opinion… lol πŸ˜€

  • johnboy says:

Carefull Mon capitain , you used that dirty word sakho !!!
Better put the tin hat on mate ? The Dave’s are never wrong evidently !!!
Laugh !!! I nearly read bradys sun column ! Phew !!!!
    I won’t go into that one , I might gag ?

  • markro says:

…and won’t it be funny when Carroll whips off his mask…good Lord, it’s the mystery 20 goal striker!

I’m really not worried about goals next year. We scored bucket loads last season and we’ve just massively improved out attacking midfield.

We will buy a striker or two (and I,too, rate Berardi!)

Just more confirmation of how critical those last few games were when the team switched off and we threw away the points that would have kept us in the top, five at least
Imagine how some of our transfer negotiations might have gone had we finished off the season as we started it.
Time for us to throw away that overly ambitious list and make up a more realistic one.

  • johnboy says:

A tabloid did a revamp of decisions that went against all tea,ms in the prem and we finished 3rd on 70 points ?
If video evidence was used !!!!
What a diferance a poor ref makes ! Lol. The quicker the better for techno decisions the better for the sport and eliminate the bias that goes on !!
