Coufal contract will be sorted

|

Suggestions that Vladimir Coufal is frustrated over contract talks should be taken with a pinch of salt as the normal cat and mouse game played by clubs and agents while negotiating.

It is often the agents and clubs who get frustrated while the player just wants to play football so we shouldn’t too concerned at report rumblings.

Coufal is represented by K2K Sports Entertainment Group headed by Karol Kisel and Martin Latka and also by Irish agent Stephen Hunt was instrumental in bringing him to West Ham.

Its the agent’s job to get the best deal for their client while the club wants the best deal for West Ham and their wage bill while incentivising their player.

Club sources have confirmed talks are ongoing but say they are confident a deal will be reached with Coufal’s representatives and an extension to his existing contract will be signed.

There is no hurry as Coufal is contracted until June 2023 with a club option for a further two years.

Thanks for the update Sean – that sounds more encouraging.

This explanation doesn’t pacify me because although I can understand the nature of negotiations, GOOD negotiating doesn’t get into the public domain. So as this happens so often at this club, they must be doing something wrong.
    Not good enough.

Tend to agree with that. Was it ex ?How come he gets to say so much if moyes wants it all stopped ?Dont think it should be allowed. Only West ham ! Dont see other clubs with so called ex employees giving the club business away. Doesnt seem very professional to me.

Got to say I agree, Moeen. How valid can you be as an ex employee. Could have worked there when Brooking was playing, let alone managing. How much has come true anyway from ex-WHU employee’s “insider” details? Sorry, but had enough gossip, want some action.

Ex hasn’t been the one leaking and dropping that information. He’s quite protective of the club and anyone who actually listened to him would know. This didnt pop up on the Patreon – it was on another site

My money’s on most leaks coming from agents.

How can you stop a player’s representatives from leaking details? It’s done to increase pressure on the club and is an old ploy.
