Cresswell ready for return to Town

|

Aaron Cresswell is well and truly up for the return to Portman Road tonight just a few days after becoming a Hammer.

The left back flies off to New Zealand with the squad tomorrow night but first he returns to the club he served for three years before the switch to Upton Park.

It’s one of those strange ironies thrown up by football but one of which the scouser will make the most.

In a Twitter q and a organised by the official site he said: “ I can’t wait for Wednesday’s game. It’ll be good to go back and see some familiar faces at a place I spent three years at.

“The way it’s worked out, two weeks after leaving there to come here, is a great coincidence.

“I haven’t set myself any goals for the season yet. I just want to take every game as it comes, starting with these pre-season matches.”
