Downing leads Player Performance Index

West Ham United v Manchester United - Barclays Premier League Stewart Downing finished as the 14th best player in the Premier League this season followed by Cresswell in 25th place and Adrian in 87th spot who was the only other West Ham player in the top 100 players in the Premier League. Kouyate 104th, Jenkinson 106th, Noble 114th, Sakho 117th, Valencia 123rd, Reid 174th, Song 183rd Tomkins 201st, Zarate 211th, Nolan 221st,Collins 224th, Amalfitano 263rd, Carroll 282nd, Cole 346th, Vaz Te 386th and O’brien 396th.

Looking at the PPI Table The lowest you could get is 531, I guess the extra 31 are players who replaced others in the 25 man squad.

Nick Powell was 531st with a score of -5

Downing could have had a better season as well if the Dudley Dynamo hadnt p*ssed him about just to get Slowlan in the team.

Zarate’s average score the highest across the whole quad, the highest away avaerage by a mile as well.

Irrespective what happened at QPR, tells you all you need to know about the decision not to play him and to ship him out when we did.
