Early poll reveals Hammer of the year

|

A snap poll on Twitter has revealed that the Potato King Tomas Soucek is the most likely recipient of the Hammer of the year this season.

The social media poll with over 2,150 entries suggests that Tomas Soucek will win the coveted prize picking up 43% of the supporter’s votes, he will be closely followed by last year’s Hammer of the year Declan Rice who polled 37% of the votes.  Jesse Lingard polled third with 12% and Angelo Ogbonna fourth on 8%.

Twitter only allows four choices so the poll was based on a shortlist but Tomas’s Czech mate Vladimir Coufal would have undoubtedly fared well if there was a fifth option.

Soucek has won the Czech player of the year two years running in 2019 and 2020 and also the Czech Golden Ball award which is chosen by sports journolists.

The Hammers paid  Slavia Prague £19m (21 million euros) in total for the Czech star which included a 4.5 million Euro (£3.75m) loan fee.

I fully expect there to be a C&H poll for Hammer of the year coming out soon?? 🙂
This years choice could be the hardest one to call in quite a while??
