East Ham Working Mens Club comes to a decision

|

EASTHAMThe East Ham Working Mens Club has made a decision after suffering months of losses followingafter West Ham football club moved out of the area.

The club based in Boleyn Road, a stone’s throw from the old Boleyn Ground, has been eating into their cash reserves by as much as £7,000 per week but at an Extraordinary General Meeting over the weekend eighty members decided to vote to redevelop the site into flats with a ground floor bar.

Members were given a number of options including closing the club or merging with West Ham United Supporters’ Club but decided instead favor working with a property developer.

Subject to planning permission the site could be home to 50 new flats with a new smaller ground floor clubhouse for the EHWMC members. Assuming the deal goes ahead the members will temporarily relocate to allow demolition and redevelopment as early as next year.

3 people to blame for another disaster….Gold, Sullivan and Brady.. They’ve done an incredible amount of damage to our club and surrounding institutions..And I honestly don’t think they care about our club..I wouldn’t trust them as far as you could throw them, which wouldn’t be very far..
