Exclusive: Winston Reid update

|

ReidyWorrying news concerning Winston Reid emerged fro the Hammers camp tonight after the central defender was taken off in Sunday’s game against Manchester United.

Reid rushed himself  back into action after the Hammers boss Slave Bilic was hit with a crisis following an injury to Reece Oxford in training.

The central defender answered the call to play and as reported on this site earlier was praised by co chairman David Gold for his attitude.

But Reid may have paid a heavy price for his bravery as it seems that it wasn’t only the hamstring injry from which he has just recovered that he ‘felt’during the game but the other as well.

It is a big blow and his chances of making the game against Chelsea at the weekend look no better than fifty/fifty at this stage.

ClaretandHugh was told exclusively by our major source tonight: “Winston was taken of as he was feeling both hamstrings. It was semi precautionary and we will know more in the next 48 hours.”

He is fast becoming another AC problem, before everyone starts I know he does not want to be injured
But last year was similar to this,
Oxford needs to play and make the position his own,
Or Kouyate needs to become Ogbonnas new partner
