David Gold has tonight declared that Diafra Sakho will remain a West Ham player for the “foreseeable future.”

The co chairman cleared up the incredible rumour mongering surrounding “the move to Rennes that never was” by telling ClaretandHugh exclusively: “I can confirm that Diafra is staying at this club.”

sakhoDG – along with ourselves and David Sullivan’s sons Jack and David junior couldn’t have made the position clearer adding: “A number of clubs have shown an interest in Sakho but he is very much part of West Ham’s plans for the season and is staying into the foreseeable future.”

The Sakho saga has dominated the West Ham scene throughout the day after a photo appeared of him apparently arriving in France which was followed by a Sky Sports story that he had passed a medical at Rennes.

ClaretandHugh was told the club had no intention of letting him go given their own shortage of strikers and the bid being derisory.

We have learned that the so called £9 million bid was made up of various add ons and entirely unacceptable.

And since then we have established that as reported by SSN a £10 million bid has been made by Palace but that too has been rejected with another of our sources explaining: “That’s true but he’s going nowhere.”

And Gold’s confirmation now makes it crystal clear that Diafra Sakho has a very important role to play at the club this season.

If Sakho’s taken himself to France for a medical then why aren’t we letting him go???

It’s obvious that unless he’s number one choice he’s not interested.

Forcing him to stay won’t help anyone and I suspect we’ll see mystery injuries and end up letting him go in January.

+1, let him go , its finished ffs , draw a line and buy Ali baabar and a box of milk tray thrown in !😈 goes for nothing next year , cash in and sell our best striker for a song ? That’s the norm with this mob, he’s 20 mill all day long if he’s over his injury ! Personally I can’t wait to see some football and this window closed lol. What will be will be , none of us can change the way they do things ? 😎

So he is going to strop around for the rest of the season.Nice one 😃
How the frig can a player just walk off to another club & have a medical & it aint wrong from some one along the line.It must be,surely?

More crap from the delusional ones ?? What a bloody mess !!! Farcically inept board and management !!!
Being told that you are 3 rd choice is going to inspire him no ends to help this bunch of armatures !!!😤😤

  • Radai Lama says:

Who said he was told he was 3rd choice Laz?😁
Did you get that line from that shytty link i posted. No one said it was true 😁😁

    • Lazurus. rises like a salmon says:

He just needs to go rads !! Shame as I rate him top player ! But not all his fault IMO , sully and bilic have played their part !! Cash in or lose out !! Its done now surely no matter what sugo,s say !! Damage done !! 😉

  • Slam Dunk says:

He was on the bench against Newcastle because he was out for a year not because anyone said he was third choice i expect.
But as usual lets believe the press and jump all over the manager and owners.

  • Lazurus. rises like a salmon says:

Another one ? Ffs mate 🙊🙉🙈 sorry pal couldn’t disagree more with that stance 😕

  • JRS says:

Him and Bilic don’t get along but he has showed promise since coming back from injury. And Maid Waris for £12m plus Ligue 2 player probably isn’t better then fit Sahko.
And if Bilic goes and his played of front with Chicarito which would be practical he might want to stay. Better to keep him and Sell in January if needed. If got 2 strikers in begining we could cash in.

  • Lazurus. rises like a salmon says:

Never heard of the bloke JRS , ? Had enough of all this speculation and expectation!
There is none , expectation that is , I don’t think they can deliver on their mantra ! Maybe in 7 years time lol?
Would be a big boost if the carvalho bit was true , once a deal is concluded in principle it can be finalised after the window if memory serves me right ,

  • Roytheboy says:

I like sahko, i know he’s got a bad atitud but with shredded wheat ankles only getting a run out now and then you have to say if he stays fit he will be numbwr 2 striker for most of the season.

  • Slam Dunk says:

I think every comment you made was based on what Lazarus said.So instead of having a go at everyone why not say it to who you ment.Grow a pait as you put it.
