Former Hammer scores in a minute

|

Former Hammer Marko Arnautovic scored within a minute of coming on in Austria’s European Championship opener against North Macedonia.

Arnautovic came on as a second-half substitute and made a big impression just before the final whistle.

With his side leading 2-1, the former West Ham star slotted home to secure three huge points.

He rounded the keeper then struck a shot into the back of the net which prompted a strange non-celebration.

Arnautovic appeared to launch a verbal tirade at the opposition before being mobbed by his teammates.

His face told a different story. Arnautovic produced a masterclass in pushing his teammates away, shaking his head and generally looking pissed off.

Austria captain David Alaba then got involved, grabbing the face of Marko in a bizarre moment.

Austria returns to action next Thursday when they face the Netherlands.

The 32-year-old  has been linked with a possible return to West Ham from China this summer.

Classic Marco, brilliance and drama Queen all in one. Just like dicanio.

Dicanio loved our club and still does to this day.
      Arnautovic is just a mercenary.

Seeing him score, it was predictable that the subject and his connection with West Ham would be brought to the fore again. But watching him made me pleased that we haven’t got him with us and hopefully he NEVER returns.
He has an ego the size of a planet and it was NEVER about West Ham whilst he played for us, as it was Always about him……Always!
Good riddence I say, our club and squad can do without an unharmonious presence like him around.

Could not have put it better myself.
No don’t want him back EVER!

  • Hammerpete says:

Agree Cat his whole attitude when he scored was spitting defiance and aggro. I swear he could start a fight in an empty room – I for one never want to see him at our place again. We have a harmonious dressing room right now and play good footie – we don’t need an ageing prima donna to upset everyone.

His so called attitude is called passion, an incredible player, movement, ability, workrate and intelligence on a different planet to players like Abraham. Anyone that wants what’s best for West Ham would want him back, the players loved him, a talisman and leader.

He’s not the Messiah. He’s a very silly boy.
