Now the Mexican striker has hit out at the Hammers on his Instagram claiming them of not keeping their promises on certain issues although in fairness he claims to have enjoyed himself with us.
For the record he managed 16 goals in 55 Premier League games , before asking for a transfer and joining Sevilla last year.
Slaven Bilic was West Ham boss at the time of Hernandez’s arrival but the Croat was sacked a few months later.
Hernandez is now allegedly earning £85,000 per week, with LA Galaxy but said on Instagram: “I enjoyed it a lot even though they didn’t give me the chances that they promised me, but yeah I enjoyed it a lot. The Hammers are a great fanbase, the stadium – everything. I enjoyed it a lot.”
To be fair to him he was another who was asked to play on his own up front and if there’s anyone in the World who isn’t a lone striker it’s him. Makes Haller look like Drogba in that respect!
True Saul – however one thing that no player can expect or ask for is to be guaranteed to be selected – so if the broken promises were along the lines of “you will always be first choice however badly you are playing” then I think it is a case of “tough buddy” – especially after a change of managers
