Pablo Fornals looks set to return from Spain after a much needed break as a likely member of the team which will go into action against Kidderminster Harriers on Saturday.

As a new father, the time off has given the midfielder time to show off his new baby to family and friends back home whilst coming up for air after a busy busy season.

Only six other members of the West Ham first-team squad have played more minutes than Fornals so far this season, but he is clearly looking forward to the chance of making sure there is no major upset ahead in Worcesterhire.

The Hammers travel to face National League North side with Pablo knowing the non-league side will be eager to make the most of their opportunity against Premier League opposition.

He said: “I’m a guy who always wants to play, and who wants to give his everything for the Club. I will be ready for the match if the gaffer needs me.

“I’m expecting a difficult game. When you’re in the FA Cup, teams from the lower divisions have the platform to really show how good they are, so it’s not going to be easy at all. We know Kidderminster will be up for this match, so it will be a big game for us.”

With the winter break firmly behind him, Fornals’ focus is now on what he hopes to be an exceptionally busy three months for the Irons.

The midfielder and his teammates will return to Europa League action next month while also seeking to progress even further in the FA Cup, while maintaining their challenge at the top end of he Premier League.

He added: “I want to enjoy every game, play in as many matches as possible, and compete in every competition.

“We’re into another three or four months where we have games every three days. We have the Premier League matches, with Watford on Tuesday and then Leicester City. We have the FA Cup, of course, and then the UEFA Europa League matches are coming up as well.

“It will be a very intensive four months and we want to finish up the league table as high as we can, be in the FA Cup as long as we can and keep progressing in the Europa League too. As a player, that’s what I play for.”
