Four Irons who may be up for offer in January

|

Oggy ...on his way back!

Slaven Bilic may be facing another winter clear out with Andre Ayew, Angelo Ogbonna, Reece Oxford and Diafra Sakho among the exit door possibilities.

The Sakho position has been well documented but Ayew too – as we explained yesterday – needs to show some improvement if he is not to find himself in a difficult position.

Reece Oxford – with one failed loan move behind him and being made to wait for a chance in Germany – could attract bids whilst Ogbonna has been in and out of the team and is now behind Jose Fonte and James Collins in the pecking order.

The Hammers don’t want to sell the 18 year old but with  young defenders breaking through they could be forced to listen to offers.

Declan Rice’s rise into the first team squad has made life tougher for Oxford who was last night linked with a move away on the basis of Bilic claiming he wasn’t on the same level as his Golden Boy competition opponent Kylian Mbappe .

Bilic’s remarks are neither here or there in the great scheme of things but Rice and Reece Burke’s progress is ensuring the club looks at various possibilites.

Not sure I agree Ogbonna has always been one of Bilic’s favourites, Ayew likewise, as for Oxford he is on a season long loan so can’t see why he would be sold and Sakho well could well be right seems like player and club would both want that, even if I and many others would wish for us to find a way to keep him happy.

Given a choice I would say,
    Oxford and Sahko no sale.
Ogbonna and Ayew not bothered to see them go.
On the other hand, I still think Sahko is itching to go ASAP.

This is an article of total speculation. Everything you mention above has been rubbished by Bilic himself or his staff and why would we even think about getting rid of 4 players in Jan when the squad is as small as it is??
Please stop publishing these gap fillers. Helps no one!!
