West Ham chairman, David Gold has confirmed that Dimitri Payet and Manuel Lanzini should both soon return to action.
Speaking on twitter late on Sunday night Gold “I am hopeful that Manuel Lanzini and Dimitri Payet will play some part against Man City. dg”
However he did confirm the news on Carroll “Andy Carroll will be out for 4-6 weeks. He has injured his left knee during the game against Astra. dg”
During his post match conference Bilic spoke of the injury list saying “At least two of them I am expecting to come back, if not Thursday then Sunday. So two of them Payet and Lanzini are supposed to come back next game, we have a cycle of games then the international break, after that we should have Andy back. Feghouli should be back very very soon. The only two that are going to be long term and we are not talking the whole season is Cress and Andre. Even Cress because he is a very good healer should be back in October. Andre if everything goes according to what the doctor says can be playing on the pitch on 1st December but I want to stay positive and all that”
On Carroll he said “Four weeks but I am optimistic, they told me four to six weeks so I say four, it is nothing major. Andy is Andy, it’s a big blow for us, a big question mark, a big frustration”
That’s a positive ! Just don’t try and hide the info like resterday about carol. People take a dim view of that ! Just be up front and it is what it is !!
Take it no one got a knock yesterday , ? Chiech took a couple ??
JohnBoy at the end of the day Bilic wants to keep team news under wraps until it was announced an hour before kick off. As blogs we also have a responsibility not to reveal the actual team ahead of the official announcement or reveal significant injury news which might help the opposition in the way they setup or train for a game.
The Carroll injury story was on this site for a good couple of hours on Sunday morning before being taken down so the story was already well on the public domain before this.
This was the first place I read it,then it disappeared & Sean went to wetlands telling them that Darren Lewis was out of order for mentioning it lmao.Naugnty boy is Sean 😉
You at not serious are you Sean ?
The whole world knew hours before kickoff
Even the night before .?..
So now its out the bag ,its going to make a difference to the next game ? No
It doesn’t matter who you put on the field of play the object is to win .
With what you’ve got !
Sorry mate can’t take that as serious banter ?
If anything they would have had their guard down with the news ?
Works both ways don’t it ?
Antonio was holding his ribs during the second half and really winced when Mark Noble gave him a playful punch in the ribs to celebrate his goal.
