Hammer takes out Hammer

|

New Hammer Alex Kral took out and possibly injured his new teammate Andriy Yarmolenko which forced Ukraine into a substitution.

Yarmo was writhing in pain with a loud scream as he’s clipped by his new West Ham teammate Kral.

Yarmolenko got back up and didn’t look too bad when walked off the pitch so David Moyes will hope it is nothing too serious and only a small knock.

Time will let whether the Ukrainian is available for selection this weekend when West Ham faces Southampton away.

Interestingly Yarmo was previously reported as a potential swap as part exchange for Kral to Spartak Moscow before the loan with obligation to buy was agreed.

Yarmo is in his final year at West Ham with a stay unlikely to be extended while Kral is on a season-long loan from the Russian club with an obligation to buy based on the number of Premier League appearances.

Maybe not the best of introductions between Andriy and Alex in the game between the Czech Republic and Ukraine.

The game finished 1-1 with the Czech scoring in the last minute of the match to bring it level.
