West Ham have had a £25m bid for Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez turned down.
Tuttomercatoweb, reported the Hammers proposed a loan offer with an obligation-to-buy for £34 million, including bonuses but a club insider today dismissed that report saying a £25m bid for the player had already been rejected.
The Uruguay international has featured in 23 games across all competitions for Cagliari since joining Boca Juniors for £16m last August on a five year contract.
Nández is a youth graduate from Peñarol moving to Boca Juniors in 2017 for £3m. Nández was the captain and a key member of the Uruguay U20 at the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup played at New Zealand being on the starting eleven at all of the four games Uruguay played on the cup. In June 2018 he was named in Uruguay’s 23-man squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The imminent signing of Tomas Soucek puts an end to the interest in Nahitan Nandez.
