Hammers balk at striker’s asking price

|

West Ham feel the desired €15m (£13.3m) valuation for Boulaye Dia is ‘a bit too high for a rather inexperienced player’ but ‘they will continue to follow him’ says France Football

Three Italian clubs, Napoli, AC Milan and Torino, are interested in the Reims striker too either for this winter or next summer. Previous reports suggest that David Moyes  was willing to pay £8.9m for the forward who plays in Ligue 1.

Eurosport say Reims want at least £13m for their star striker and  they will hold out for offers at or above that amount.

The 24-year-old forward has scored 10 Ligue 1 goals and assisted once in 16 appearances this term making him one of the highest scorers in the French top flight league.

The French league is in financial trouble after losing their TV deal and agent Mark McKay is the man Premier League go to when they want to do a deal with a French club.

  • Childish says:

Nothing to do with you hugh, but most things coming from the club are all reasons not to buy anyone, either to expensive or not the right time or this or that or the kids will be ok or we can get by it’s a load of bull,sh…you just know they wont buy anyone….I guarantee this will come back to haunt us ..I like Moyes but when it comes to transfers he is,a absolute joke …real shame considering the season we could have with a full squad ..its good now but could be even better with a out and out striker…let’s remember even though he is doing a fantastic job Antonio ist even a striker…

    • As we put our swords away recently childish I’ll just say this: “We have won six on the trot and are in the top four. I think I’ll trust what I’m seeing rather than argue about what I’m not
