Hammers can twist knife in next PL game

|

West Ham could consign Ralph Hasenhuttl to the sack next week.

The Irons face Fulham today before playing Anderlecht at the London Stadium in midweek.

Next week, they will play Southampton at St Mary’s and it seems the axe could fall on Hasenhuttl if they get badly beaten.

Saints are currently 16th and have only won two of their nine games in 2022/23; they were thumped 4-0 by Manchester City on Saturday.

It is Southampton’s fourth defeat in a row, having also lost to Everton, Aston Villa, and Wolves since beating Chelsea.

The Daily Mail reports that Hasenhuttl remains defiant and has no worries about being sacked, but they could enter the game with the Irons in the relegation zone.

Of course, the Irons did for Wolves boss Bruno Lage when the Molineux club were dispatched last week and it could be that the Irons once again take on the reaper role against Saints.
