Hammers chance of signing hitman looking stronger

|
West Ham’s striker signing hopes this winter appear to be swinging more firmly towards Reims hitman Boulaye Dia.
The player has revealed that he is waiting to see what transpires as the window ticks by but his agent has now spoken two or three times of the irons interest.
And a ClaretandHugh source close to the player has revealed that the club’s interest is real and that it could happen before the end of January.
We have reported previously that a broadcasting deal aimed at pumping billions into the French game has collapsed leaving many clubs with no alternatives but to sell on the cheap.
As a result the Hammers are looking keenly at the market and continuing their pursuiyt of the 24 year old.
The Reims striker claimed recently when talking to reporters that he could move NOW but added: The month is very long, but I am not thinking about that for the moment. We know my situation, I have a gentlemen’s agreement to leave. We will see.”

Dia scored two first-half goals for Reims against St Etienne in his latest game as the club won 3-1 and earlier his agent confirmed the Hammers had made an approach for the 24 year old who has bagged 12 goals in 24 games this season.

“Our source revealed: “The Hammers interest is real but the agent talking it up could be a double edged sword.

On the one hand it may put the Irons in pole position as things stand.but is aimed basically at getting other clubs interested. As I understand it that hasn’t happened so far.”

Just how many players are we connected with according to the media ?..
It’s rediculous . All this speculation is great for the club to put the league off the scent but it’s doing nothing for the fans . It only serves to excite the fan base where there are some that can understand it and others that , that no-matter hard they try , just can’t!! . .
I am firmly in the camp of “ not understanding “ any of it . It’s obvious we need a capable striker but who that might be is down to the Manager . There will always be the inevitable speculation surrounding the Club . Haller should be easy to replace ; loads of players suit west ham more than Haller . 45 million wasted on the word of a tired old man that couldn’t speak English . Crazy .
Maybe we’ll sign nobody , maybe the club think we have enough talent to stay middle table .
I’m thinking it would have been better to keep Carroll . Yeh , that old Chestnut … he was three times Haller no matter what anyone says ,,, IMO .
Anyway ; let’s not dwell on the past and hope we can get something right this window .
I trust Moyes a lot ( as do many fans ) and hope we can achieve something more than mere survival this season under his Leadership .

Unfortunately Sullivan on the cheap from France has Sullivan written all over it. Especially if it’s a Senegal special.

Even though he is injured Adam Hlozek should be prime target, just as Ollie Watkins should have been last window. Going for players or their agents that see us as a second choice is imho a bad policy, this guy and his agent seem like idiots.
