Hammers hierachy “nervous” over McCormack

|

McCormack

West Ham have this afternoon confirmed to Claretandhugh that a bid of £3.5 million was lodged ahead of them completing their Italian job!

With Marco Boriello  reported to have put pen to paper, it’s 5050  we will pursue our interest in the former Rangers, Motherwell, Doncaster and Cardiff City striker.

A source said: “We went in with a bid of £3.5 million and have been extremely active over the number of targets we’ve pursued.

The Hammers hierachy had been somewhat taken aback by manager Sam Allardyce’s interest in the 5ft 9in player given his enthusiasm for big powerful strikers.

Our source said: “To be honest we weren’t sure he was serious when he mentioned his name given the situations we had with Sam Baldock and Nicky Maynard.

“The stats are there but he isn’t what you would say a Sam-type striker so there was a little bit of anxiety. It’s fair to say we were nervous.”

The problem was BFS playing them up on their own or as wingers – totally misused them both – destroyed their confidence – exactly as he’s done to Maiga!
