Hammers confirm “no inquiries” for striker

|

West Ham have not received any inquiries of bids for Andy Carroll.

Reports that he is fancied by Chelsea, Newcastle and Southampton have started to swirl carrollaround since he scored a couple of goals against West Brom – his first of the season.

But the Hammers have had no club to club contact with any interested outfit and we were told this afternoon: “It’s open season in the agents world of course.”

“We are reading the same stuff as everyone else but there has been no interest expressed . That’s not to say there won’t be of course.”

With 14 appearances, six yellow cards, one red and two goals there is little doubt that with 18 months left on his contract the club would entertain realistic bids.

Read a report that Newcastle sat down about AC but Rafa is not keen to bring him back.
I’m fine with keeping AC but is best as Impact sub & has shown that is better in 2nd half. Most games we need oaxe & or more rounded CF up front.
And w his injuries & turning 29 tomo he needs to be ok with being a sub and starting some games. Bc longest he has been fit for is since he came usually avgs 25% of season.
Finally got some goals but doesn’t mean he should start changes our game slows us down & him & Lanzini don’t link well. Not to mention Service needed for him we don’t always have.

He would be a Sub elsewhere most Likely too with some starts based on opponent but I would take Michy at 24 bc if or when we loose Sahko & AC or Ayew. That brings sqaud down to 19 & will need a rounded CF Michy has pace & is good be on loan option to buy as well.
I’d also like us to look at Mark Uth who only has 6mo left at Hoffenheim has great right foot on him & can cover RW but very rounded CF at 26 has 9 goals this season. 6’1 with pace good on the counter attack & could get for a lot less bc contract up in summer. Ffs Barkley is going for £15m….

Need to bid on Wilshere like I said he said other day no progress on new contract at Arsenal so w 6mo left keys make a bid rather him the Shelvey personally & Moyes seems to only want PL experience adda that creativity & passing needed in mid & think Moyes could coach him better w his tackles etc then Wenger
