Hammers fifth in Europe

West Ham are ranked fifth in Europe gathering the mos league points in 2021 alongside Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, Lazio, PSG and Juventus all with nineteen points in Europes’ top five leagues.

Only Manchester City 27 points, Frankurt and Monaco 22 points and Barcelona 21 points have earned more points in Europe this year.

The Hammers 19 points were earned by wins over Everton, Burnley, West Bromwich Albion, Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and Sheffield United.

Add to that a point against Fulham with the only league loss coming against Liverpool.

West Ham have a tough run of games with fixtures against Spurs, Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal over the next five games.

The Hammers remain in fifth place in the Premier League on 42 points only separated by goal difference from fourth-place Chelsea.

Second-placed Manchester United and third-placed Leciester City are just four points away in the top-flight table.

    I think the results from the next 4 or 5 games will show where we actually are. Hopefully we do get a win or 2 from these games.
    Personally, I think West Ham at best may be good enough for the Europe League IF we improve the squad. Champions League would be a step too far too soon with the current squad.
