Hammers hold big interest in play-off targets

|

West Ham will keeping a keen eye on the Championship play offs with the possible progress or otherwise of Fulham or Aston Villa into the Premier League.

The Irons have been keeping a very big eye on the Cottagers midfielder Tom Cairney (right), defender Ryan Fredericks and on-loan Newcastle United striker Alexsander Mitrovic.

Meanwhile, at Villa we hold an interest in on loan keeper Sam Johnstone whilst our own Robert Snodgrass could return to the Hammers or be sold to the midlanders should theymake it into the Premier League.

Fulham failed in their bid for automatic promotion when beaten 3-1 by Birmingham yesterday whilst Villa’s 1-0 defeat at Millwall did nothing to change their place in the play off places.

Cairney and Fredericks have been seen as top targets for several months and Moyes has regularly scouted Mitrovic finishing the season with a tally of 17 goals from 28 appearances.
