Hammers looking at complete new strike force

|

West Ham insiders are admitting the club faces a strong possibility of having to find a completely revamped strike force in the summer!

Either of  Lucas Perez and Javier Hernandez could be gone today so long as they can get a loan striker in and whichever remains – if either  – looks certain to go in the summer.

And Andy Carroll’s hopes of receiving any sort of new deal have all but disappeared after a series of lack lustre performances this season.

ClaretandHugh has been told that his apparent inability to fit the style of play Manuel Pellegrini’s wants has left him looking at a  pay as you play deal at best.

But we understand – with his home on the market – the Geordie remains keen on a move into the MLS and that would leave the club with only the unpredictable Mark Arnautovic whose brother Danijel constantly links him with moves away.

The Hammers hold a big interest in Celta Vigo’s Maxi Gomez but suggestions he will be on his way to the club today are way wide of the mark but  the Celta Vigo hitman looks like the next big money arrival.

The Irons are also hopeful of collecting extra funds from the sale of on loan Jordan Hugill for whom they want a minimum of £7 million from Middlesbrough.

And they are hopeful that a deal will be done for Edmilson Fernandes who has made 22 appearances on loan for Serie A outfit Fiorentina.

Batshuayi is not the answer, he lacks character, we need winners in the team. I was watching an interview yesterday with this former navy seal widely regarded as one of fittest people alive, he was saying that the US navy had a massive dropout rate in what they call hell week. So they asked him to do like a bridging training so that it wouldn’t be such a shock, so he trained all the wannabe seals but even though they were far better prepared than any previously the drop out rate was exactly the same. When they analysed it he said I was just training people to be fitter, faster, stronger quitters. If they are going to quit they will still quit at the same points because they just don’t have the character to dig in and fight when they need too, they are not comfortable being uncomfortable for extended periods. I think we have quite a few of those in our squad, hopefully Pelle will root them out in the summer and replace them with hungry players.

if Carroll gets any deal in the summer I will be gutted , Hernandez is sulking and wants out. He’s on a big wage and can’t even put in any effort get rid now. Should get a pre contract for Gomez dome otherwise he is likely to go somewhere else, that would be a problem when summer comes .

I agree.Batshuayi is not the answer. He seems another surly type and turned us down before anyhow.Seems to think he is better than us when in reality it’s time to get his head down and prove it. He is not a kid anymore.

Batshuayi is awful why do you think Valencia sent him back …if that’s the best we can do then we just as well use the kids ..I mean the season is basically done anyway imo with no cups to play for as I said yesterday I think it will just fizzle out to a position of 14 ,15 th in the end .. What a mess again.
