Hammers see third £20m bid snubbed

|

West-Bromwich-Albion-v-West-Ham-United-Premier-LeagueStoke City have refused to budge on Marko Arnautovic and the Hammers are now set to turn the attentions to West Brom winger Nacer Chadli.

ClaretandHugh has learned that at a third bid of £20 million for the Austrian international was rejected by the Potters as the Hammers chased Slaven Bilic’s prime target.

Despite Arnautovic, despite asking to be put on the transfer list as he attempted to pile pressure on his club, both chairman Peter Coates and manager Mark Hughes have rejected all his and West Ham efforts to make the move happen.

We were told this morning: “They have turned down £20 million and despite the player’s wages being huge we were ready to do the deal.”

Now the Hammers will attempt to sort out a deal for former Spurs player Chadli who is valued at around the same as Arnautovic.

However, the Irons could find themselves under pressure to throw in Andre Ayew who is very much fancied by Baggies boss Tony Pulis.

throw in? he’s worth more than Chadli ffs, they should be giving us money!

    • JRS says:

Right Chadli cost £13m and is older Ayew £20.5m . Snod would be better trade and should keep Ayew till replacemtn

  • Innocuous Sparrow says:

Adding Chadli and losing Ayew weakens our squad. Why would we do that?

Also, as master says, Ayew is worth more than Chadli

Stoke are taking the P, but our crazy policy of conducting our transfer business in public plays into other clubs’ hands. Just like last few transfer windows.

I agree, Ayew is streets ahead of Chadli when at his best and injury free.
I’m pretty sure this speculative swap was based on an initial suggestion by a writer – NOT a report based on anything solid.
Part of our lack of goals last year can be put down to Ayew’s early season injury.
Stoke are playing a dangerous game. Arnautovic, of all players, reacts emotionally. His recent knee “injury”, which I am certain would have miraculously disappeared if he had a medical with us, will last for quite some time now.

Yes but who has been taking them Lazurus…the newspaper writers…or fans who get suckered in by them….

Debatable James 🙂 sully appears to be a user , he’s been talking about buying a top striker for for the past 2 years , but the denomination on the notes keep changing from £’s to shillings 🙂 🙂

Why are we even looking at wingers
All funds must be spent on 2 strikers
    We have 10 midfielders presently
Don’t believe any of the paper crap they have to sell papers so frankly make **** up or get back handers from agents pushing their players

  • JRS says:

Think I’d prefer Tadic over Chadli. The Serb is tough shows up in big games and can score a screamer can defend too

  • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

Unless Chadli has a lost a couple of stone over the summer we should steer well clear, there is a reason he wasn’t successful at the Spuds and it isn’t to do with ability it is his laziness, his nickname should be cadbury’s because he is a flake.

    MAD. Move on.

  • JRS says:

About to bid £24m which iis over a 3rd of our kitty before sells at take it from £60m to £80m.
To much on one player. For £4m less we could have Chicharito and £7m sign on to offset wages over 3 years to £100k or less

There may be trouble ahead as the song goes, if a player wants to leave and the club price him out of a move, they will not get anything out of them, where have I seen that before???? Players hold the power, crazy, if a club was willing to pay me £50k a week I would do somersaults for them, don’t know where this is going to end.

  • JRS says:

We have been favoured by bookies at getting Keita Balde at 8/1 with Chelsea and Juve ahead.
Balse would be worth £25m at 22 finishing last season with 16 goals and 3 assists. LW and two Footed which we could use and can play across any position up front.
I think I might be younger then what Bilic is looking doe but would actually have value in 4 years and £17m release clause and would start here if he preforms like he did at Lazio.
