West Ham has confirmed the signing of Chelsea youth attacking midfielder, Domingos Quina.
The official site says the exciting former Benfica schoolboy will report to the Hammers in July, having recently been crowned a UEFA European U17 champion, with West Ham beating some of Europe’s leading sides to the 16-year-old’s signature.
The 16-year-old midfielder signed after being persuaded that he had a better chance of progressing through to the first team in West Ham’s set-up. Spurs, Liverpool, Manchester City and United were all said to chasing Quina, who turned down the chance to stay at Chelsea as he believed his progress would be limited.
Born in Guinea Bissau, Quina was brought up in Portugal and left Benfica for Chelsea as a 13-year-old. The skilful attacking midfielder, Quina is regarded as one of Portugal’s best prospects, has starred for their Under 17s and is tipped to become a regular full international in the future. The move represents a coup for West Ham and puts the Academy back on the map as the destination for promising talent.
Quina will arrive on an initial two-year scholarship, subject to international clearance, and has agreed terms to sign a professional contract on his 17th birthday in November.
We seem to be nabbing a few youngsters from the other bigger clubs of late,will be interesting to see how they progress.I will wait for updates from Mystic Bradders haha

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Can Sean give us some information/reasons why oh why are we considering selling Reece Oxford? And why is there no information or explanation on Claret & Hugh. Yes the signing of great young talent like Domingos Quina is great news, but not if we are loosing our greatest young talent at the same time.
I thought the days of us selling our top young potential was over . This is Rio all over again. No its worse at least we got £18 million for Rio. Only for Leeds to sell on again for £38 million. 1. What is going on and 2. Why aren’t you reporting on this?

According to the Mirror, Liverpool are circling around Oxford as well.Would have thought that was news worthy material? Eug I think there are a lot of complacent pundits that think Oxford won’t go.Think again!

Well these stories are increasing and in more and more publications. If we don’t have any intention of selling why doesn’t the club just come out and state that under no circumstances will he be sold? Also this story on Domingos Quina a couple of months old? My conspiracy side of me thinks this is re-hashed good news to counter the bad news coming.

There’s nothing different Eug apart from the fact that today they are pointing out that it is now on the West Ham Official site 🙂
Last week Sean and Hugh informed us that the club are locked in talks with Oxford and the club do not want him to move on,but if he decides not to sign a new contract they won’t let him leave for nothing when his contract runs out,
That started a lot of people calling for him not to be greedy and act greatful for what the club has done for him,
He then went on social media and said don’t believe everything you read in the papers,
Until he and the club make a decision on his future I would just sit back and read all the rumours about the 100 players that will come in to replace him Eug

Sky Sports Transfer Centre are running it as a story today as well,its the fact it is now on the West Ham site that it has become news again that’s all.
How many times do people want to be told the same thing? Its been reported by everyone & their dog about Oxford is going to be signed by ……… ………. for £10m. Even the lad has said dont believe what you read. Just because different media outlets run the same story on different days doesn’t change the answer.
