Hammers slip but it’s still all to play for!

|

West Ham slipped into sixth place this afternoon after Arsenal clung on at Watford to record a 3-2 win  over the relegation strugglers.

But it wasn’t all bad news for the Irons as Manchester City 4-1 at the Etihad to give us a decent chance of overhauling the Old Trafford team.

It all meant that the Gooners went into fifth place with 48 points from 25 games whilst United are in fifth with 47 from 28 whilst the Irons are now in that sixth place with 45 from 28.

Beneath us Spuds – who entertain Everton tomorrow night – are on 42 points from 25 games although there form is distinctly up and down at the moment following a win at Manchester City, defeat at Burnley, a win at Leeds and FA Cup defeat at Middlesbrough.

Wolves also remain in the mix representing something of a threat down in eighth place with 40 points from 27 games so it remains a case of still very much the case the Hammers have everything to play for with Aston Villa arriving for our next Premier League game.
