Hammers waiting for defender offers

|

West Ham will definitely be looking for offers for Issa Diop once Nayef Aguerd’s arrival is officially announced which is expected to be on Monday.

The move has been expected for some time but we have now had it confirmed from a backroom source that the Frenchman will be allowed to leave should the right money be offered.

The 24 year old made just 15 Premier League appearances last season but found himself at the bottom of the manager’s pecking order despite injuries to Angelo Ogbonna amd Kurt Zouma.

Newcastle have been inevitably mentioned as one destination for the player who joined the Hammers from Toulouse for just over 20 million.

Aguerd’s arrival the club means we will have five central defenders with Diop the youngest of them in a position which David Moyes he has often said demands experience.

The Hammers will want around between £15-£20 million for a player with a year plus 12 month option left on his current deal.
