Hammers won’t give Toffees permission to speak with Moyes

|

Everton will not attempt to make David Moyes their new manager unless they are given permission to speak with him by the Irons.

And that is not going to happen given the club has now shaken hands on a new three year deal with the 58 year old Scotsman.

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo has already held talks for the job as the Toffees step up their bid to replace Carlo Ancelotti.

And although they would  like to  talk with Moyes following his earlier 11 year spell with the Toffees permission will not be given  by the Hammers.

Goodison  chief shareholder Farhad Moshiri made it clear there would be no attempt to talk with Moyes unless  the Hammers allow it.

According to the Mail  Goodison Park officials held a virtual board meeting on Wednesday to whittle down candidates.

However,  the Irons have no intention of letting the manager speak with Everton and a prime source made it clear to CandH that they fully expect Moyes to remain at the London Stadium

We were told: “He’s an honorable man, everything has been agreed between us and no permission would be given to Everton to speak with hum.”

  • Moyes has done an excellent job for the Hammers guiding us to Europe. The board should give him massive support required to enable us challenge for honours next season and more importantly qualify for the champions league. The good times are back.

Nuno is a shoe-in. Everything is settled and Everton and Nuno ES are heading for a successful partnership. Trouble is with the HR department at Everton. They have to draw up a list of possible candidates and speak with them to ensure that their recruitment system is open, fair and inclusive.
They don’t want to go back to the glory days of David Moyes. He’s part of Everton’s history. Not the future.

Nor should they let them talk to him. What would be the benefit for WH? I think they’ll go for Nuno, but I don’t think they are in a hurry. Might pan out for a while longer yet.
