Hernandez takes a swipe at ref

Hernandez is different level

Javier Hernandez took a swipe at referee Lee Mason following the Hammers heartbreak defeat at St Mary’s this afternoon.

Charlie Austin’s winning spot kick made Chicharito’s brace meaningless but the Mexican was full of praise for the side which battled bravely with 10 men for an hour.

He said: “When you are running most of the game with 10 men, the penalty decision is harsh.

“We spoke about Marko Arnautovic’s sending off, it is not completely a red card.

“It shows the character of this team that we do not give up. You have to look at the positives and to look forward.

“It is hard with 11 men but with 10 men it is even harder.

“I gained motivation and confidence and happy I scored two but the result is what stays in your head.”

Blatant red ? Yes mason is bent , most are where west ham are concerned , stats prove that ,year in year out ! Get used to it 😉

Ok Javier , well done today , excellent . Two things though ; Anautovic deserved 100% his Red Card and the 93rd minute penalty was 50/50 . Another day , another game and it wouldn’t have been given . We were plumb out of luck today . Basically our defense let us down again . Agree that playing with 11 is easier than playing with 10 , but that doesn’t mean we would have won . With 10 we were big and stubborn but , with 11 would we have been the same ?? . The Defense and midfield needs a right good kick up the backside .

It was a sending off all day long.No defense lawyer will get him off that one.
Hernandez is going to score a rake of goals this season.Sak the Back looked good as well when he came on.Antman looking good.Reasons to be cheerful if your glass is a half full one 😁

100% right on the sending off Rads. Still can’t figure out how Tadic was still on the pitch to score though. His assault on Chicarito would have earned him six months if it happened in the street.

Yes it was a red for sure Makro let his Angry get the beet of him. And the last Penalty could have gone either way depending on Ref.
But Little Pea is great did what we brought him in for and has a great attitude and brings energy to the team. Big fan and not they he has gotten a brace more to come. Great character he has.

2 weeks to sort it out
    Cav must arrive now
Snodgrass and Fonte swap deal for Kone
Noble in swap plus cash for Jota
Reid plus cash for Sissoco from Liverpool
Sell Ayew and AC why we can bring in RS forward
Get shot of dead wood bring in class
    No more problems

No defence against the red card, however it did follow an elbow on Anautovic 30 seconds earlier, so IF Lee Mason was consistant perhaps West Ham would have finished with 11 although Noble was lucky with his studs up chanllenge. No dispute over the first penalty, clear pull back, right result.
Two great poachers goals, against a side that will struggle this season. But if we score 2 but leak 3, we will struggle as well.
The second penalty really was a joke, how players and managers keep their cool after a massive cock up from a supposedly first class ref is beyond me. Lee Mason should be ashamed of that decision but with our back 4 we should not have allowed him to have to make such a poor decision. I not a betting man but Lee Mason will not be brave enough to do the same at Chelski, Spuds or Moan Utd, a 93rd minute penalty my arse. I saw the same challenge at least twice in other televised matches but with no infringement. …….FA consistency is called for and it starts with you. Shocking referee performance.

Couldn’t agree more, Lee Mason was apalling today and should go back to the Championship…..

Media didnt say much about the elbow to our player before he lost the plot. Also hardly any mention of the hand /arm to ball by saints defender.
