Hero Yarmo thanks the fans

|

Andriy Yarmolenko has emerged from the shadows into a game changer and before going any further let it be said that his movement for the first goal against Manchester United was exceptional.

Nobody really knew quite what they were getting when he arrived at around £18 million last summer and following a shocking injury were still wondering when he appeared this term.

Now we are beginning to see what the guy is all about and it not a one trick pony of coming in from the right nd clamming in shots with his left although that is part of what you get.

That we have not missed Michail Antonio speaks volumes for the Ukranianwho is putting imself abut ina seriously aggressive fashion and truly looking the part.

That he should be showing such great form so quickly speaks loudly for his dedication, determination and excellence of the Hammers medical team who have overseen his recovery.

And speaking of the United game at https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2019/september/22-september/yarmolenko-im-feeling-better-and-better-each-game Yarmo declared: “Every week we work hard [for days like today].

“It was an amazing day for us, for our fans, and we played well. We defended as a team, we attacked as a team and of course it was a good result.

“Felipe gave me a great ball and I just tried to shoot, and it was a goal!

“It’s my job to score goals, to give assists and you have to be calm when you get into that position, whether to shoot or to give a better option to your teammates.

“I’m not at 100% of my best yet, but with every game I’m feeling better and better. I hope I play better in the next game too.”

And of the fans reaction when being subbed before the end, he said: “The reception was amazing I felt like I had finished my career here [with the ovation I got].

“Everyone applauded me and I really appreciated that from our supporters. They are amazing and every game you play here you feel like you are a special team.

“For me, it doesn’t matter which position we are in the table now, we must concentrate for every next game and play well to show we are a big team and play like a big team.”

Unbelievably potent … that’s Yarmo. 2 goals in the new season. Wow. Extremely happy for him, and pray he gets stronger, stays fit and sharp. Sadly our other 40mil£ off the boil … Anderson. Mr cool us far too casual. No connection with our great centre-forward, Haller. Come on Anderson, get it together. Just imagine both our wingers on fire….and Haller getting served better … goals, goals, goals.
