In-form Tigers test for all change Hammers

|

The Hammers will take on a very much in form Hull City on Tuesday evening as they bid to take another step forward in the Carabao Cup.

And it will be interesting to see whether David Moyes gives Jarrod Bowen the opportunity of getting one over on his former club at the London Stadium.

It seems more likely – with another tough fixture looking against Wolves on Sunday evening –  he will stick with Andriy Yarmolenko who appeared as a sub in yesterday’s game against Arsenal and was outstanding in the match against Charlton.

A crowded early fixture list suggests that the manager is likely to stick with the team which beat the south Londoners 3-0 in their first excursion in the Cup this season.

And that will mean we will likely to get another look at Josh Cullen in midfield although – if recovered – Mark Noble could get a runout.

We hope not as things have looked more lively in midfield over the last two games and that may well be down to the skipper’s absence!

The in-form Tigers have won both their league clashes this season and beat Sunderland 5-4 on penalties in their opening Carabao Cup match after the teams had finished 0-0 at the end of normal time.

Likely Hammers team: Randolph; Johnson, Balbuena, Diop, Masuaku; Cullen, Snodgrass. Lanzini, Yarmolenko, Anderson, Haller.

What would be the point in playing Cullen? He put in a great performance last week and his reward was not to make the 18 on Saturday. He must know Moyes doesn’t rate him so he might as well go elsewhere.
