Irons on a City ‘revenge’ mission

|

Hart_726_2The Hammers face the sternest test possible in Reykjavik tomorrow as Manchster City  look to make it a hat trick of pre-season victories.

After the City humiliations of last season when we were beaten three times and conceded 12 goals against them there is a mini revenge mission on hand for the Hammers who will be looking to step up on their own results in Austria and Germany.

City have enjoyed a good summer so far beating Real Madrid and Tottenham in convincing wins in America but were beaten 2-0 by our opening day rivals Manchester United..

ZabCity flew out to Iceland this morning but there were a couple of notable absentees at the airport.

The club’s website reveals goalkeeper Claudio Bravo wasn’t present with Ederson, Danny Grimshaw and Aro Muric getting the nod.

Samir Nasri – once considered a possible Hammers target – didn’t travel amid speculation over his City future which looks unlikely to be at the London Stadium given his £170k a week wages.

Pablo Zabaleta and Joe Hart will be looking for a reunion with their former City colleagues whilst Bernardo Silva could be given his first start in a City shirt after travelling with the squad.
