Mark Lawrenson recons David Moyes has got his mojo back and is totally on the warpath.
The BBC pundit isn’t always the kindest when predicting the outcome of Irons games but is in no doubt the team will beat Newcastle this weekend.
That of course could be bad news for us but none the less here’s this is what he says in his BBC column in riewing the Premier League programme:
“West Ham are another team that have turned the corner.
They have to be a bit careful here, because Newcastle are on such a bad run – the Hammers cannot afford to think they can just turn up.
But I can understand why they are confident, because David Moyes has got his mojo back.
Watching him now, it reminds me of when he started out as a manager with Preston – that hunger and enthusiasm is back, his whole demeanour. He is on the warpath.
Newcastle are trying to strengthen, starting by trying to take Kenedy on loan from Chelsea. He would be a good addition, but they still need a centre-forward – and quickly.
Lawro’s prediction: 2-0
I hope he is right we looked lacking in ideas in midfield against Arsenal plus all of us thought when we played them away we would roll them over and they thrashed us 3 0 in a typical Bilic performance revenge is due and I hope that forms part of the pre-match speech, if the creativity is lacking again imho we shouldn’t be frightened to go very direct against them with Carroll or Sakho up top COYI !!!
Needs to push the fullbacks 30 yards further forward against Newcastle, still getting over the debacle of no shots on target at Arsenal. Must win convincingly tomorrow, start with Sakho and Chico with Arne and it should be enough .
