Irons window issues create all the old problems

Irons unfocussed transfer policy

Two months ago, the euphoria of winning the Europa Conference League was meant to herald the beginning of an exciting new era for the Hammers but already an all time familiar gloom has descened.

With just over a week until our trip to the seaside for our first game of the season at Bournemouth, we remain the only club to gae failed in making a single signing this summer.

Despite the £105million we received after selling captain Declan Rice to Arsenal, West Ham have still not been able to get any deal finalised for new players for the London Stadium.

We have been linked to a whole multitude of thems, but you get the feeling that it seems somewhat slipshod and unfocussedThat’s because it is exactly that. It also makes you wonder whether the West Ham hierarchy really know who they want at all?

Also, the concern for Moyes extends beyond just new signings. Current squad members Aaron Cresswell and Nikola Vlasic are eyeing moves to Wolverhampton Wanderers and Torino respectively, while Michail Antonio continues to be linked with a move .

I am sure that we will end up with some new signings , but when?

Remember last season?

When Thilo Kehrer, Lucas Paqueta and Emerson were all brought in after the campaign had started and all took time to acclimatise.

The result was a desperate struggle against relegation that was only averted by an upturn in fortunes in April.

With the new campaign nearly upon us, it looks like history may repeat itself and Moyes knows another sluggish start will quickly erase any credit from that European win.

As the Hammers flounder in the market, all our rivals are strengthening their squads by getting their business done.

As we keep saying…the clock is ticking.

How much longer does this farce have to go on ? Why haven’t the Board got the guts to say they are not buying anyone and done with it ? The Club is becoming a laughing stock in the media the Sun are having fun telling of our pain. Domino’s Pizza are mocking us. Is this fair to the fans. Come Board tell us what is going on.

The question is not only “when”, but “who ?”
