It’s better news on Bowen from the club

|

A new report that Jarrod Bowen has fractured a bone in his foot is not true according to sources at the club.

And hopes are high  that he will be back in action after the international break following his injury against Liverpool at Anfield.

The report from the Athletic claimed the fractured foot injury adding the ex-Hull winger could now miss the encounter against Lyon in the quarter-final.

That game is scheduled to take place on April 7th, after the Premier League encounter with Everton.

However, we have been told by the club that hopes are high he could return after the international break and that it would have been highly unusual for two MRI scans to miss such an injury.

Our insider at the London Stadium ruled out such an injury declaring: “There is no suggestion of a fractured bone – it would be very unusual for an MRI to miss such a problem – although there may be some hairline cracks beyond the bruising.”
