Klopp planning West Ham raid for Bowen

Jurgen Klopp made a shameless advance on Jarrod Bowen following West Ham’s 5-1 defeat at the hands of Liverpool. In a one-sided EFL Cup encounter, Klopp got a glimpse of what Bowen could do when he turned a half-chance into a beautiful goal to make the game 3-1.

The Liverpool manager has never hidden his admiration for Bowen, and he was at it again this time. The German fluttered his eyelashes at the West Ham frontman, whom he proclaimed to be his favourite player.

“Playing without Antonio, and Bowen steps up in that position, he’s probably my favourite player besides my own players,” beamed the Liverpool boss. “It’s just great what he’s doing and how he develops.”

Perhaps it’s a case of nothing to see here, but Liverpool will be on the lookout for a left-sided player next summer, and Bowen appears to be on the radar. Mo Salah is expected to leave Anfield for the Saudi Pro League at the end of the current campaign.

The rumoured fee for the Egyptian is £150 million, meaning The Reds will be armed with significant funds to make a bid for Bowen.
